About Sarah Jordison

“Do the work yourself and you can accomplish great things – recruit and train others to do the work and we can accomplish so much more.”

In my early years as a community organizer one of my mentors took me aside and said just this.  And so inspired my lifelong commitment to mentorship, building organizational capacity and honing communication strategies that motivate people to action.

My aim is to nurture and support effective leadership in the world of social change.Leadership focused on a desire to serve rather than a lust for power.  Leadership that inspires creativity and ingenuity and steers an engaged team to successfully achieving the positive change we seek.

This blog is dedicated to profiling leaders in Canadian social change; opportunities for great leadership; and unpacking some of the simplistic spin that gets in the way of solving complex problems.
